2016 Skippack Lions Club Annual Scholarship and Service Award Dinner

The Skippack Lions Club, Skippack Pennsylvania held there annual 2016 Scholarship, Community and Club Service Award Dinner at the Bay Pony Inn, Lederach, PA.

The event started out with our special speaker Past District Governor John Carver who spoke about Beacon Lodge Camp which offers programs for children and adults with visual, hearing, or other physical challenges located in Mount Union, Pennsylvania.   93% of all funding for this special place is due to the support of all of the combined Pennsylvania Lions Clubs.

The awards continued with the Annual Scholarship Receipients from Local High Schools, Congratulations – Julianna (James S. Susak Scholarship), McKenna (Leroy Aiken Scholarship) and Victoria (Robert Kline Scholarship) – Also pictured below is Club President PDG Mark Berchem and Scholarship Chairman Jerry Brock.  Each $1,000 scholarship is awarded in honor of our past members of the Skippack Lions who made significant contributions to our club and most importantly to our community of Skippack.

Our 2016 Community Service Award Receipient Kelly Rose had started at a very young age working along side her mother at the Skippack Lions Folk Fest Charity Food Booth and continued that service to the present for a total of over 25 years and still counting as a dedicated volunteer.   The Skippack Lions Club would like to thank Kelly for her service to the Skippack Lions Club and the Community of Skippack.

Our Club Service Award Receipient Ed Calvitti was accepted by Mark Berchem.   Ed showed dedication and initiative in many club programs throughout the year – Thank You Ed!!
